May Day
This is so irritating, but I had literally spent the last hour penning a post about this day, and Squarespace decided to close out randomly and not save.
I am beyond tired from moving to even attempt re-writing it. I have seen many bloggers post all of two sentences and get away with it so here goes. Brevity is not my style, but it’s 10:30 and I wanted to share these little photos with you.
This was from the girls at City Park last Sunday, before the rain came in this week, and after a trip to Denver’s Science and Nature Museum. The mummy with the exposed tooth really left an impression on them, and the catapults with foamy balls and a card board castle cutout dart board in the Davinci exhibit was a fun segue into the kids discovery area. We took a break for lunch in the cafeteria and capped off the museum trip with a brief walk through the space area and the gemstones. We covered a lot of territory for 4 and 5.
A highlight for me is seeing these girls grow so much each time we visit a playground now. Pumping on the swings and getting on all by themselves. Sliding down the fire poles and climbing and balancing up wobbly chains with no help from me.
A good Sunday afternoon with my girls, and a much needed intermission from moving and unpacking.
