Heloise, Please
On November 21, yes that chilly day we got some snow, baby and I headed to Cherry Creek North for the champagne toast and grand opening of the children's clothing boutique Heloise! The white brick building sits pretty at the corner of 300 University Boulevard in Denver, and once inside the custom silver and emerald green fixtures, sparkly chandeliers, wooden playhouse and carefully edited french clothing make you forget that this is Denver. I haven't yet made it to Paris, but this is just the type of shop I imagine would be there.
Alli Perkins, the beautiful blonde owner, was casual and warm and happy to share about her aesthetic and the lines she carries. You will find beautiful cotton fabric clothing by C de C, one of my favorites that used to be sold at Nest and recently was picked up by Perkins, Talc, Louise Louis, Ilovegorgeous, Neige, Nelly Stella more. The styles are all cohesive despite the varying labels, from France, the UK, and even the U.S., with a clear common denominator, attention to detail. Boys' cords with leather knee patches hang just so upon a gilded branch next to a window filled with frilly tulle dresses with silk bodices fit for flower girls. Woolen socks, jars of children's pajamas, "Jammies," and golden toed Joyfolie boots are a few other surprises you'll find in this European inspired shop.
Pop in and tell me what you think!
