Denver Santa Fe Art District
A short and sweet toddler style post. I have always LOVED fashion, and then it turned into an admiration for children's fashion and styling. Now that I have two other little bodies to dress, I am enjoying putting together mini outfits for them much more than for myself with my own tired looks. Now that BOTH girls are able to stand solidly, although standing STILL isn't what they do best, and they are a little bit aware of the camera and comfortable with me stalking them a bit, I want to set out to do more styled shoots with them as I had always envisioned and dreamed of. Some people read Glamour, I read Milk.
We have a natural tendency to stop, look and explore our surroundings leisurely, when we don't have an agenda, so doing more of THAT amongst new scenery and a little bit more put together is something I aim to capture, for MY FUN and theirs!
Last week we found ourselves down in the Santa Fe Art District so I pulled over and did a quick alley exploration with the girls when I spotted some awesome, colorful street murals. I have always loved graffiti. Their blue tutus, funky tee shirts, neon pink smiley face socks and gold sandals were the perfect story to go with this urban back alleyway. Totally not intentional, the outfits were coordinated but the location for shooting was a spontaneous find that morning which made this shoot special.
